KLDCS Information
It is our goal at KLDCS, to offer a program of studies in keeping with our Educational Aims and Objectives. THE AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF KLDCS - to allow the student to proceed from the stage of accepting direction and discipline to a stage where she/he is capable of self direction and self discipline,
- to develop in the student an ability to evaluate, formulate, accept and reject ideas and views objectively,
- to enable the student to estimate realistic abilities and limitations,
- to promote equality of educational opportunities and create an educational environment in which the social, emotional, physical and intellectual needs and interests of the students are seriously considered,
- to develop in the student a respect for the rights, property and an appreciation of the problems of others,
- to develop a background of information that will enable the student to adapt and contribute in a changing world,
- to try to ensure that the student is able to communicate effectively
- to develop in the student a desire for learning,
- to provide and encourage participation in an extra-curricular program which will give the student an opportunity to enjoy a variety of recreational activities and the opportunity of developing into a participating adult able to enjoy leisure time,
- to provide a wide variety of courses and ensure that all students are exposed, to some extent, to all subject areas with the possibility of specialization, to some extent, in senior years,
- to provide a general background of experiences which will allow the student to proceed competently into society.
